Summary:SHELTERED is a novel about a handful of schizophrenic psychiatric patients that live together in a secure hospital, based on my extensive life experience of mental hospitals, jails and sheltered workshops. Although SHELTERED is a comedy, it is based mostly on fact and does not hold back from the grim truth of being a forensic patient charged with a serious crime. Summary:This is an attempt to portray my view of a homeless vet. I can only hope I do him justice. I don't want it to sound sappy or cliche so do your job and let me have it if I didn't capture this with the honor due.
I see these men all the time in Seattle and surrounding towns.
