A wife A husband A simple sweetheart
How it feel sometimes on your own as a woman. Perhaps as a man also?
Mainly what emotions evoke and any technical help offered is always welcome as a mere student of writing.
What about punctuation? I have some but not all the way through. To me it cluttered it. Due to one very late reader I added a comma and thank her very much! Help!

Summary:A poem about the thing foremost in the minds of soldiers who served in VietNam. Still a popular theme for the young warriors in Iraq and Afghanistan.
One of our favorite songs during VietNam was Merle Haggards
"Silver Wings" and the mournful refrain...
Silver wings shinning in the sunlight,
roaring engines headed somewhere in flight.
Their taking you away, leaving me lonley,
silver wings slowly fading out of sight.
His was a ballad of lost love but the words took on a special meaning to young soldiers as their buddies also were taken away...Chapters: |

Summary:It had been an oppressive day.The mood in the house was one of loneliness, uselessness and discouragement. My husband has not been well for several days, so has slept most of the time, with only a word to me,now and then. I had grown restless, and blessed the rain when it came. I have always loved the rain! These are not "true" poetry, per say, but I put it under this category. I hope you enjoy it, anyway.Chapters: |
