This is a recap of my one experience in a beauty pageant. It's one of a number of short anecdotal stories I plan to include in a book I want to call The Little Book of Things that Are so NOT Funny You Have to Laugh. A note: I may not have used the real names of others involved, but the content is true.

Quite a number of years ago I learned that some of the most relevant lessons of life can be found in the minds of those who have lived through a whole lot of years. And from those lessons come fodder for the work of a writer. This little poem tries to honor that principle. Comments welcome.
