Genesis chapter 6: (Men of renoun, large men, giants, descendants of fallen Angels). The Nephilum used their strength, size, and power to pervert God's creations and were cursed by God to destroy eachother and become evil spirits after death. The find of the nearly 100 foot human-like skeletal bones were a Theological Archiology find of the century and changed the course of history around the world. Christianity had a new voice and could challenge the Big Bang and Evolution theories.
But the discovery came with a price. The Evil Spirits were released and were on a mission to open the gates of Hell and free the fallen Angels and set the course of mankind into an early Armegedan.

 | Inheritance For Dummies - Part 1 | R A Keen | Short Story | Horror | 5 | 1.50 | Dec 13, 2009 |
Summary:The story is speculative fiction, part 1 of a tale of an alternative cause and effect system, one that operates in the background of the story and is often thought of as Magic. Black or White, who can say? The answer is in the eye of the gentle reader. So is Justice, by the way, including the lengths some may go to achieve it. Magic anyone?Chapters: |
 | Crimson Rose - Memoir of a Serial Killer | Raven Greywolf | Novel | Mystery and Crime | 0 | n/a | Nov 30, 2009 |
Summary:"We serial killers are your sons, we are your husbands, we are everywhere. And there will be more of your children dead tomorrow. "
-Ted Bundy
I am not as different from you as you think. I had a very normal life on the outside. From the outside I had everything: A nice house, good job, a pretty wife and a great family. I was the American dream. On the outside looking out was a monster. Waiting in the shadows of that postcard life was a killer. The true me. I was not so different from you. A productive member of society. I was a member of united Baptist church, parent teacher association in my children’s school, volunteered at soup kitchens and I also was an assistant Boy Scout leader. I had dreams and aspirations, just like you. So don’t think we are that different.
It all started with a book, actually it was an idea. I never could sit down in front of computer and just type. Always wanted to be writer but never could tell a story. My interest was crime fiction. The kind of story my life turned into. The ones that have some cocky police offer tracking down a clever serial killer. It case you don’t know my story, I wasn’t the cop. Never could get myself inspired enough to find the right words to put on the blank page. Now the story is no longer fiction so the words would come easy. This is my story.
I’m not writing this story because I feel I owe it to the families to ask for their forgiveness. I’m not writing so I can sell a bunch of book and make a million dollars. I’m writing because people need to know the stories of the victims. I will not ask you to forgive me but I will ask you to understand I had no control over it. This is confession.
I don’t want peace with god or even myself. I don’t deserve it and I don’t need it. I can sleep at night knowing what I did. Even with my impending release from this world, I do not fear what is ahead of me. I know my time here is numbered, actually its only two weeks away.
I won’t make any excuses for why I did what I had to do. I was told that “there is only what you got to do. No right or wrong, just what has to be done.” I don’t feel remorse. I don’t have some guilt weighting me down. There is no little cricket telling me that I have to get this off my chest. My conscience is clean. They understood that this was beyond my control and theirs. This is my burden.

It's my first draft of the novel (placing it up as i go), so it can be quiet rough. I'm hoping to get the main concepts and plot down and then develop it more, especially with your comments :).
I would love feedback in all regards to this story, including any suggestions on where i can improve to make this story more catchy, faster, better character development, or generally better, please let me know!
I generally suck at grammar etc so any tips on things i am doing wrong or could be improved are greatly appreciated!

 | The Last Call - Parts 1 & 2 | R A Keen | Novel | Commercial Fiction | 13 | n/a | Oct 26, 2009 |
Summary:Dear Gentle Reader, there is, indeed, more to life than meets the eye of the casual observer.
I wrote The Last Call when the time of All Souls Day, Halloween to most believers, was upon us; a time when a tale of other worldly dread seemed appropriate. Horror can be more than a bacchanal of blood and gore, the aftermath of blade and chainsaw, fang and claw. Horror can also simmer, sight unseen, unknown to the world at large - except for the unfortunate few.Chapters: |

I wrote this sometime back. Can you tell me what are the good points and the points that need improvement? It was one of my first attempts at writing short stories. Like have I actually captured the environment to make people frightened, if so, how? Though, how can I improve in writing more vividly. Thanks. Chapters: |

Summary:This is the second part of brother and sister duo, Toby and Alaska's foray into the House of Bones. I got some really helpful feedback from Part One and I'm planning on making the changes when I've collected any suggestions for this second part. | Rhiannon's Ordeal | rhiannon | Novel | Fantasy | 10 | n/a | Jun 29, 2009 |
Summary:A Re-boot of the Rhiannon series. It rewrites the first Rhiannon story (published elsewhere)The Gorgon. It is deliberately inconsistent with other stories published or workshopped. Rhiannon is more complicated, Rosalyn has a different status, it is in 3rd person. It has themes of transformation, the loss and reclamation of important things (although they are not what the characters or readers think at first). A word on its setting: this is not set in medieval Europe. It takes place on a world that is about 11th century in terms of its social and technological development, but is 30 lightyears away from Earth, which is occupied by a world (Terra) with 21st century development. It takes place in our future, but in that world's (worlds') past. One culture is corrupted by Terran society, others are not. Oddities like the characters using slang from the US c. 2009 is thus explained. It is the tale of the fall and rise of Rhiannon, the ever so great descendent of the lengendary woman/goddess of the same name. All feedback is appreciated. Thank you.Chapters: |

Summary:I wrote with a killer headache one night and decided to post, obviously prematurely. This piece is based upon an actual event. Poetic license has been used and the names have been changed to protect the guilty. This also serves to protect this humble writer. Caution: this is a graphic portrayal, although not nearly as graphic as the pictures of a snuffed innocent child that the jury was forced to endure. As always, any and all reviews, no matter how critical, are welcome. Chapters: |

 | The Paranormal Unit | Lawgirl04 | Novel | Fantasy | 1 | n/a | May 11, 2009 |
Summary:Almost five years ago a group of rogue vampires decided that they were tired of living in the dark and wanted fame, power, and most importantly to finally be able to live without fear. So they went public and “outed” themselves and all other supernatural and preternatural creatures. As a response to the world wide panic, the world’s governments brought to light their own secret; the existence of superhuman hunters. Soon a war between humans and “others” began.
A few forces were able to see the futility in the fighting and obtained permission to create a paranormal crime fighting unit that would pull all forms of beings together to fight all supernatural evil. However, there are forces on all sides seeking to see the test group fail. Torn between loyalty to their respective groups and maintaining safety and justice, the crime fighting team, along with one of the city’s ADA of Supernatural Violent Crimes, fights a new enemy that may threaten to end the team and tear the paranormal community apart.
I'd like any feedback that you believe could help get my writing noticed by an agent and later publisher. Particularly from the first chapter or two.Chapters: |
