Man has been living in moon orbit space,in space habitats, for 200 years after leaving a contaminated and toxic earth. The habitats are getting old and machinery is wearing out without capacity for permanent repair. Some believe earth has rejuvinated and want to return. The council wants to maintain status quo but time is running out. The Prologue takes place after the novel ends when man has returned to earth. The following novel explains how it all took place.
