To impress a girl, an ugly young man undertakes a robbery, and inadvertently kills someone. This sets off a chain of events which changes the course of history. This is an early work of mine which has undergone significant rewrites, and I am on the verge of sending it to market. I would like some honest opinions about its readability, characterizations, idea content, and literary merit (if any).

From wedding to war, follow Cecily in this timeless tale which is sure to turn classic. What I would like to know, is if this story should have sex scenes in it, or if it should be left age appropriate for young adults. Also, constructive criticism? Additionally, I must mention, this is a novel that is over 600 pages long, and this one chapter exceeds 10,000 words, which means I shall have to post it in multiple chapters.

It is intended to expose, invert and reverse the myriad of intolerant, oppressive, degrading ideologies attached to historical fairytale narratives such as the 'Grimm's Fairy Tales' collection and their Disney reenactments. Lost In Transition is the story about relationships. It is the story of a non traditional family whose Father is in the process of gender transformation to become a woman, while his wife is becoming a man. Caught in between is a precocious 13yr old girl who cannot stand either of them. Believe it or not, this story is based on a true life family in Wyoming. It is a tragic story in reality, but I have chosen to lighten it up and it is largely a sarcastic comedy told from the POV of the teen daughter Christye. My primary concern here is that Christye sounds like and acts like her age, and not that of a man of any age. I would like to know if my story is compelling. If it hooks you, what hooked you? What works and what doesn't? If you would like to edit as well, I would be happy to learn from you. Hopefully it won't be too much of a mess. Because this novel does not fit into any specific genre, I am going with Commercial Fiction. It has equal elements of Romance, Love Story and Drama. Suspense and humor are no strangers to the story, either. To me, it is a drama fueled by the quest of two lovers to find one another after a very lengthy separation. Two young lovers, Randy Harris and Brenda Chandler, are separated by totally unexpected circumstances beyond their control. They are taken from their small-towm roots of rural Kansas, Randy to Georgia and Brenda to Texas. The year is 1963. Weeks turn into months, months into years. Each starts a new life of his and her own. However, rarely does one completley forget about the other. But Randy and Brenda face substantial, and sometimes horrific, challenges in their new, seaparate lives. The drama and tension hover around every corner. Randy goes to jail, charged with the brutal slaying of his dearest friend. And that's not the only major trauma in his young life. Brenda's life moves in a most unexpected direction for a naive farm girl. She has her own tragedy to deal with. The untimely deaths of people they love torment both of them. In Brenda's case, the death leaves her with a heavy burden of guilt she can't seem to shake. Each enjoys moments of joy and rewards. But it seems there is always something lurking around the corner that wants to dampen those moments. But you will fall in love with the quirky humor of old Pop Johnson and the compassion of Bruce Armstrong. They are sure to make you smile between the tragedies and challenges. And there are a couple of places where you might want to have a Kleenex handy. Pop's story of his early days in Georgie will almost certainky bring a tear to your eyes. Randy's return from Vietnam culminates in a gut-wrenching discovery. There is quite an unexpected twist at the end. You probably won't see it coming! All comments, suggestions and nits are welcome. Any comments or suggestions to make this a stronger story would be greatly appreciated. Don't be bashful! Young Amy Dickson does not know who her father is. Her mother never would tell her. But Amy has dedicated her life to discovering his identity and to make him pay for the for the misery she and her mother endured because of him. Becoming a prostitute at just thirteen years of age, by necessity, only added fuel to her quest to find her father. What she does not know is that he is the most powerful Senator in the U.S. Congress. And when at last she does find him, the encounter ends in the most unexpected way.

The story begins with Cleo at work and works it way back to tell you how she got there. She goes to University, expecting the time of her life. Except it all goes horrribly wrong when her best friend becomes pregnant by Michael . Cleo is in love with Micheal, but going out with his best friend Sam , oh and then she gets together with Michael! The fun just doesn't stop in this hilerous, yet touching and sometimes dramatic story about a young woman's fight to be with the man she loves. That is when she finds out who he is!
