 | Dog Heaven | pamlajj | Novel | Literary Fiction | 5 | n/a | Jan 19, 2012 |
Summary:I am an avowed atheist, but the specter of death can sometimes send me running back to my Episcopalian roots. My most fervent wish as I held my dying dog in my arms last March was that I might see her again one day. Can there be a heaven for someone like me? This story is a rumination on the kind of AfterLife I might wish for, sans God, sans Hell, sans fear. (I could have selected Religion & Spirituality as this story's genre, but that seemed a little pretentious.)
I do not wish to hear anyone's comments on my atheism. I welcome all comments on the writing.Chapters: |

Summary:BREAKING MY OWN RULES.. Most likely should simply throw in the trash or tuck away in the hidden drawer where so many others aged and faded.
Long evening/night
I am not sure I should nor should anyone simply post what spews out of the darkness or hurt. Sometimes it works as poetry and other times? Simply spewing! Venting.
I have read and reviewed some venting so am allowing myself the same courtesy. Have a hunch there will be no sleep tonight so can erase before it is even read!
Hopefully it is medication I am on sending me reeling.
Even then, I will capture it into words.
If this sounds like pure 'venting' and nothing poetic about it. Feel free to say so! While venting is good for our health. I am not convince it is meant for others to have to plow through.
Will not hurt my feelings in the least. Although right now?
Do I have any? :)
Yes.. have no fear.. I do.
Anyone one else up at this hour?
In the USA! :)
