Summary:There was a time when writing caught up with me. I simply did not know where else I could go. I no longer wanted to be political or social or cultural or sexual. I didn't even want to hear music anymore. I needed a hero far greater than I could imagine. I just needed to feel like a child again, wide eyed, and hopeful. So I wrote a baseball Saga, titled A Legend Of Sleepy, followed by this poetic Novel (Prosetry). I hope someone on this site likes it.Chapters: |

Summary:A sample from a short story anthology called "Knitting My Veins Together"
This is an excerpt from a collection of spontaneous work that was originally typed on a vintage typewriter. The idea being that the exercise of restricting line editing would keep the work fresh and original. It makes the writer have to think hard about what will be put down the first time, and helps to build emotional tension within the work. No story was ever planned out or staged – maybe a title or a phrase is set upon, but prior to its completion there is no idea of where it will go or what it will be about. Each one has been cleaned up a little but most of the prose is just as it appears on the originally typed page.
I have posted this work as more of a get to know my writing - I will post three more from the collection and then start on novel scenes. I hope you enjoy it and thankd for your comments in advance.Chapters: |
