Summary:A small-town college community is turned upside down when an anthropologist on the national lecture circuit comes to town to dispel racial myths.
PLEASE NOTE, especially previous reviewers: Based on some recent workshop feedback, I decided to change the book's POV from first to limited third since Min is a more private person and her reluctance to talk about herself tended to estrange her from the reader. Would you let me know if it works better in third? Also the opening pages have been heavily edited since last posting. Since it's nearly a new chapter, I'm posting it and in fact the rest of the chapters as new ones rather than reposts. Thanks to all my earlier reviewers since I expect they'll disappear posting this as new content. I printed them out and filed them in a notebook.
Chapters 85-96 are the chapters written in first-person POV. No need to read those unless you are interesting in comparing the effectiveness of the new choice.Chapters: |
