Summary:I decided to be brave and post the lyrics to a song I recently wrote. I know the timing is off and the words don’t always flow the way I’d like them to flow. But, I’m too close to it and can’t see what or where or how I can make the changes it needs to make it work. So, I’m hoping you can give me some ideas. All comments are welcome.
It is done in a ballad form. I hear Willie Nelson’s voice in my head when I sing it. Hopefully, that will give you an idea of the “sound” and flow I’m looking for. It is a story of theft and deception and then victory and redemption.

Summary:This is a story about the time in March 2007 that four tornadoes converged on my parent's farm and the destruction, devastation, trauma, loss, and sorrow it brought to our family. It is also about the sense of hope, help, growth, triumph, strength, family, friends, faith, and community that came along with it. There's even a weird sort of humor thrown in here and there . . . I hope you enjoy it. Unfortunately, due to the number of natural disasters we have going on in our country (and the world over)in recent years, it is a story we share with too many others . . .Chapters: |

Summary:I wrote this back in my twenties, but even now, two decades later, it still remains one of my favorites. This site is the first to see it. Initial reaction is what I'm looking for, please. To all of the poetry experts, any suggestions for cleaning it up would be much appreciated. Thanks!Chapters: |
