Summary:This is a prequel to the "Into the Fog" trilogy previously posted. This story takes place 14 years earlier and is the crime spree referred to in the Into the Fog books. It starts as a rash of ritualistic killings of Heifers, within Chief Broden's jurisdiction. His fear, which eventually is realized, is that the killing will progress to human victims. He enlists the help of the BIO (Bureau of Investigations- precursor to FBI). Agent Moss recognizes similarities in the presentation of the dead and signs on to help. Supernatural elements, good vs evil themes, cult activity, with mobsters, speak-easys thrown in- this was a blast to write.

Summary:In my reading of Irish poets this past week I came across the little poem at the beginning of this posting. The condition of our national dialogue has been very disturbing for some time now. The poem by Hutchinson brought some thinking about that problem. Comments welcome.
