Rosa, an illegal immigrant from Honduras, is asked by a fifth grade neighbor child, doing a school assignment, to tell her life story. She begins with the easy parts, thinkng deeply for the first time about the hard parts as she goes about her life as a home health aide. Through the storytelling and events such as a new client and a health workers' strike she begins to look at herself,her work, and her family life consciously and pridefully.
