Summary:This is an alternative POV to Chapter 7
in the novel Broken. If you have read Broken (Chapter 7) or want to read both and comment on which works better - Finn Koski's back story and his POV as to why he is incarcerated for the death of his wife OR Grace's POV as his therapist, hearing the story in dialogue from Finn, I would really appreciate the feedback. Also, is it too much to have doctor and patient both have gone through the cancer and death of their spouses or does it make Grace believably empathetic toward her patient? The rest will be covered in Chapter 8 in Broken.Chapters: |

Summary:I dedicate the following Poem to Ruth Marie. She is the character in the poem. We communicate only on facebook when she is strong enough. And sometimes I think she is a lot stronger than I am. My heart breaks each time we talk, but my pen is strong. It is so nice to be amongst such great writers at TNBW. During this holiday season, take time to realize how fortunate we really are.Chapters: |

Summary:This story won a contest run by Monadnock Writers Group, and was selected as one of seven short stories (plus a bunch of poetry and photographs) to be published in their anthology themed on memory.
The anthology has just been published and is entitled "Shadow and Light: A Literary Anthology on Memory."

Of course, I'm generally not the literary type (sex, drugs, rock and roll is more my speed - ha!), but I wrote this story when I was pretty sad -the lead is modeled after a dear friend whom I'd just lost.
Do you have to be depressed to write literary fiction? (Just KIDDING, sheesh!)
As with my other work, the lead is a no-bullshit kind of woman (just like my friend - a true-blue Yankees fan, btw! -was).
So caveat emptor: It's a little depressing : O : )
*** Note: I thought I posted the final version of this, but reviewers have been pointing out some punctuation malfunctions and typos, so I must have goofed. I've made the corrections.

Summary:Eva Koski receives the dreaded diagnosis of breast cancer. Her husband Finn (From the novel, Fall From Grace) is by her side. Grace Rendeau also appears at the end of this story. Eva's Funeral (a short story posted earlier) would be the third part of this series. Question: For those who are reading Fall From Grace - would it be too much to add this as one of Finn's flashbacks, since the novel includes Mitch's, Bud's and Emanuel's flashbacks as part of the story? Or would it just hopelessly confuse the storyline? ;)Chapters: |

Summary:This is a revision of my memoir, previously titled The Big C. It describes how my adolescent cancer wreaked havoc on my life, and how, at the age of thirty, I finally ssought the assistance of a caring therapist who helped me come to terms with its far-reaching mental health consequences.
The story moves back and forth in time and place. Chapters that describe my experiences as a twelve year old are interspersed with chapters that showcase my sessions with my therapist when I'm a young adult. The story ends with me in my fifties, discovering the cause of my cancer and uncovering a secret about myself I could never have guessed.
Any and all feedback is appreciated. I have not removed the earlier reviews because I want to keep all of the advice they provided. If you have read and/or reviewed this story before, I would appreciate hearing what you think of the changes. If my story is new to you, please ignore those early reviews and share your own impressions.
One small caveat - Chapters one and two are more similar to their original form than are chapters three, four, and five.Chapters: |

Summary:This is my emerging memoir. For the time being, each chapter is a stand-alone "episode," and I have not yet determined the framework for tying them together. Don't worry about reviewing them in order. Imagine that I am making a necklace, and I am crafting the beads one at a time; once they are crafted, I will string them in a pleasing and relevant order, adding the necessary transitions at that time.
This memoir will include my childhood in the 1970's, teens in the 1980's, motherhood beginning in 1994. The main themes of the larger work relate to three diagnoses in my forties: Borderline Personality Disorder, Bi-polar Disorder, and Breast Cancer. Chapters: |
