Summary:This is one of the stories I'm hoping to publish in a short story collection entitled "Afro-Bougie Blues", about situations in the black community that can't be avoided just because one has money.
I have edited this story to keep to one tense (for the most part. Let me know if I did that correctly!), and using some techniques from a book called "The 10% solution" that help edit out unnecessary or non-descriptive words. I have also added a bit more description. I am woefully inadequate at describing settings.
