Chapters Author Info Summary: Note to reviewers. The following stray thoughts arose on reading a short story in which the author had a French-speaking female character express her displeasure with her husband by calling him bâtard. This struck me as inappropriate because I don’t recall ever having heard a French man or woman abuse anyone for something over which the abused person has no control. Be that as it may, it set off a train of thought that resulted in the following. Please make radical suggestions for improvement. Chapters:
