Edited 5-27-13 Some call them zombies but the mind blowing, epidermis morphing Z-virus has produced things more horrifying than walking dead.The Man with the Zombie Hand: Some demons are of our own making! This one is much darker than The Woman in the Wedding Dress. I am trying to keep the reader guessing during the collection: Tales from Death valley. Tell me what you really think so I can improve my writings. (Great reviews of The Women in the Wedding Dress prompted me to beef this one up to standard.)

There is a new kind of Ghoul in town: The Z-Freak! Commissioned to develop a new way to interrogate foreign combatants, International Pharmaceuticals combines ancient voodoo chemicals with epinephrine boosters and a high tech virus with catastrophic results. The experiment is dubbed a complete failure and would have been lost in the labyrinth at the D.O.D. Archive, but a terrorist attack unleashes the genetically altered virus on the population of LA the face of the United States is changed forever. Natural barriers, strategic military barricades and a deadly kill-zone retain the outbreak to the three coastal states of California, Oregon and Washington. The quarantine area is dubbed Death Valley by pop culture and the inhabitants are sentenced to life in hell. The Woman in the Wedding Dress is the first short story in the collection: Tales from Death Valley. It is a surreal adventure accented by the flamboyant Big Game Hunter Jordan McDougall and the beautiful woman in the wedding dress. Hell hath no fury like a women scorned!

It tells the story of a thirteen year old girl who undertakes a quest to rescue her mother from a band of men who invaded their camp, killing all the men, boys and babies and taking the women. Her quest becomes much more complicated than that.

Ok so the heads up on the idea i have for it: 20 years have past since the Apocalypse, and the world over has grown overpopulated, run down, and warped. People born after the apocalypse have developed the special abilities that grown up until they come of age. The richest men and women around the world decide to pull their funds, and create the 13 Corps, consisting of 13 groups of 25 'mutants', fighting in a gladiatorial arena for their right to survive.
