Get More Credits
Every writer on TheNextBigWriter receives enough credits to post one novel chapter, poem, or short story without the need to accumulate credits. After this first post though, you will need to accumulate credits in your account to cover the cost of posting.
The credit system ensures that members are credited for the time they take to read and review other writers. Top reviewers have the opportunity to sell some of their credits to the Credit Bank and receive compensation for their reviews.
How to Accumulate Credits
There are two ways you can accumulate credits:
Read the Review the Work of Others |
Purchase Credits from the Credit Bank |
By reading and reviewing the work of other writers on the site, you earn credits which can be used to post. Every piece on the site pays a certain number of credits per review depending on the length and type of the work. The amount each piece pays is listed in the summary listing on the far right and also at the top of the page once you click on the work to read it. This is the most popular way of accumlating credits. *** All writing with less than 3 reviews pays a 20% bonus. If you are looking to quickly accumulate credits, check out work with less than 3 reviews in the Read and Review section. (A word of caution: Many authors do not like it when reviewers jump into novels mid-chapter. Our advice is to start novels from the beginning.) |
Writers who are time-crunched can also purchase credits from TheNextBigWriter Credit Bank. |

Determing How Many Credits You Need to Post
The easist way to determine how many credits you need to post is to upload the piece to the site. Once you have done that, the system will tell you how many credits are needed to publish the work to the community.
