Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

I include "The Steamy Tropical Vacation" as my humble entry.  No, actually, it's not all that humble.  In fact, it's somewhat exhibitionist.

Mike's story is really good! If you're human you will definitely be moved. If you're not then Mike is edible.

Given the action of the story, a better plan might be for YOU to go to bed, and have Ivey read the story.

Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

Okay, Sol, I'll be posting on this contest, probably by Monday.  I have a rough draft, but I will spruce it up.  Please consider this my entry.  The title is, imaginatevly, "My Tropical Vacation," and it will be posted either in Humor or Crime and Mystery.  I haven't decided.  Have as much fun reading it as I had writing it.

Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

O.k... I've joined the Tropical Vacation party... Its my first attempt at a short story as I have only previously written Sit-Com specs.. so excuse the over reliance on dialogue.

Its called: Spud and Gina's Tropical Vacation

Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

Hey Sol.  Someone took my original idea for a title for my entry into the contest ("Tropical Vacation") so I changed it to "Page Clark's Tropical Vacation."  I just posted it in Crime and Mystery.  So I guess this means I'm officially entered.

Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

OK punkies, I figured there's no chance that I'll win this thing since I'm jumping in so late, so I hid 5 of my Tropical Vacations in 'Tropical Vacation Tanning and Nails'.  It's posted in OTHER.  The requisite 15 are there, look and count again.

Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

Folksies - Komrade Klay's Trop Vac is really & truly funny [in both senses of the word]. Although it may not be immediately apparent, i can verify that the requisite 15 'tropical vacations' are scattered throughout his story, overtly & covertly.

Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

Go to the home page of this site and enter the phrase "Tropical Vacation" into the Search by Title or Author field.  You'll get a whole list of all the entries for the contest.

READ 'EM ALL!  READ 'EM ALL!  You'll get a kick out of the silly, scary, mysterious, romantic ways entrants have slipped the catch phrase "tropical vacation" into their stories.

Everybody who has entered the contest seems to be having such a good time with this.  I figure, why not spread the joy to other authors and reviewers on the site?

Better late than never.  I'm in with the title "Choosing a Tropical Vacation", put together rather quickly.  Have to get ready for my trip to Florida smile

Re: Tropical Vacation Short Story Challenge

I want to remind everyone that the Tropical Vacation challenge ends tomorrow.  If you haven't read and reviewed yet, now is your last chance.  You can find all of the submitted work by typing in Tropical Challange in the search engine on the left hand side of the homepage.
