If you have been bitten by a tick, you may have this problem. If you haven't, you should read the book to find out how awful the situation is for those who are diagnosed and living with it. I know someone who died of it. I know several young girls in one family who have very bad cases and take a lot of antibiotics for it. The author is an editor for Discovery Magazine and her children were affected seriously. So this is a science book for ordinary people. It's more interesting than I can tell you here. Makes me think of the early days of AIDS. There was a lid on the real story. Medical folks didn't know what to do. That's what's going on now. The book was published 4 yrs ago.
