Re: Who knew - Are we related?
aloha da,
I went to ancestry.com when a free special was running and drilled back to 1400 a.d. One of my relatives emailed me with this recent information, which also was derived from ancestry.com, I believe. I didn't double check it.
But, Siward was the man! I've taken to wearing my elkhorn headdress while surfing, in his honor.
Our family lineage goes even further back, but I was a little skeptical when I read about the Flintstone and Rubble lines.
-Best to you

Re: Who knew - Are we related?
Max you knock me out!
My husband is a swede (aka Viking) and surfing with elk horns or whatever horns is compulsory of course!
All I know is that my great grandmother was a gypsy who had been snatched by a wild Huguenot (whatever the correct way of spelling is)
Cheers
Annelie

Re: Who knew - Are we related?
My maternal grandmother's family was from Denmark--visited some of them in the sixties on the Isle of Alse.
Maybe we're related.
Go, eat your bread in gladness, and drink your wine in joy; for your action was long ago approved by God.

I've since discovered a new mode of being by channelling my inner Viking and placing great faith in the runes of the Elder Futhark.

I was attempting to comprehend my inner Viking using Younger Futhark, but, woe is me, it was all to no avail. Upon deeper investigation and astral projection, I contacted Sophus Bugge, where upon he taught me Elder Futhark to continue my inner Viking investigations. It works! Holy skide lort!
