The correct format for chapter listings in a manuscript
hey all, when formatting the manuscript how do you list the chapters?
a] Chapter One, Title
b] Chapter One
Title
c] Chapter One - Title
or?

I've seen so many styles, I always assumed chapter headers were a personal taste thing. What I did was check out as many formats as possible in my chosen genre and picked one I liked.

Through this stage I realized that I wanted to write. Due to this one I became a writer.

There's a reason you might not find a reference to it; do it anyway you like; your publisher will tell you if they prefer a different style when the time comes. It's not a deal breaker. Take care. Vern
