Argh, I'm so not happy with the title of my novel "The Devil's Grin". It sucks. Or rather, it doesn't suck (as in interest of readers sucked out of their brains and onto my pages).
I need another title, thats intruiging, reflects the content, you get the picture - same problem all authors have.

Thats the thing:

But you don't have to read it all, here's very short synopsis:
A historical crime novel that shines a harsh light on medical research in London of the 19th century. Dr. Kronberg is London's best bacteriologist and stumbles head first into a crime that by far exceeds "The Ripper" murders in brutality and cold-bloodedness. Together with Sherlock Holmes, who discoveres that Kronberg is a woman is disguise, she hunts down a network of criminals - medical doctors who experiment on human subjects.

So far my tentative titles are:

The Torture Club
The Disguised Woman (argh, sounds too much like romance)
The Cholera Experiment
The Experiment (not my favorite, as the title already exists)
The Bacteriologist (urks, kinda boring)
The woman who solved a crime with Sherlock Holmes and then managed to kiss him while he was unconcious (just kidding)

If anyone has any idea, it can be stupid as all hell - it may tickle my brain cells and result in expulsion of a brilliant title!

The Borgia family were famous in Italy during the Renaissance for their power and their murderous tendencies. I'm assuming there was a Doctor among them.
