Looking for critiques for Odessa: Book One by Crows_Eye (horror)
Hi Writers Circle members.
I'm a new writer to TNBW website and so far I'm very impressed with the supportive and knowledgeable community here...and of course, the writing!
It can be a lonely and frustrating experience writing by myself. I've been lucky to have some friends and even a couple of published writers critique parts of my novel and I've managed to develop a thicker skin with each critique. Though I still bristle at the memory of a "published author" who emailed my story back, covered in lines of red criticism and not a word of encouragement. She didn't like horror and wasn't one to offer supportive comment, just critique...ouch.
The reviews I received so far on TNBW have been much more balanced, offering both support and critique.
I'd love to get more feedback. I've rewritten and edited my story so many times that I just lose perspective and really need some fresh eyes, particularly writers with an eye for horror.
I realize there is an ever-growing list of new and reposted writing, so understand if I have to wait (better than the four month long queue at Critters).
Thanks to everyone here.
