Short Story or Novel
I think I've completed the first chapter of my first novel. But, it might also work as a short story? I notice writers on here seem to do this. If anyone is interested it's published and the title is "Liar". I think you should read part 1 first, in order to understand it. In part one I tried to give the readers a taste of what it's like to have a grand mal epileptic seizure. Part two, I believe, may put part one in focus for the reader. I am an expert on this subject because I have had them most of my life up until about ten years ago when they stopped. Thank's wordwizard

That's amazing. Any reason why they stopped? I wrote a story about my brother's seizure once. I may post it again.

Re: Short Story or Novel
Nadine :
Up until about twenty years ago I rebelled against the idea of being handicapped. So, I drank, smoked dope, stayed out real late and didn't get the kind of sleep I need. I didn't take my medication regularly and continued having seizures. I did this to try and fit in with what I thought were normal people. So, I finally stopped doing all that and took my medication regularly and stopped having the completely after 5 years. PS : Back then I lied about having epilepsy to everyone, even myself.

Taking the meds and being healthy is important if you have a serious health issue. Good for you. I take my beta blockers even though they rob me of motivation. They also keep my heart from fibrillating so I put up with it. I used to be an adrenalin junky. Now I'm like a buddha. Do you also have a high fat diet? I heard that was good.
