Literary Fiction.  I actually looked this up on Wikipedia today because I didn't know what the hell it meant.

...and after reading Wikipedia's description, I still don't know the hell it means.

Anyway, I've researched definitions of all the various types of fiction, and here is what I wrote about Literary Fiction on my site.

Unless of course you hate the term.... And then of course the term will have to hate you back. How do you like being hated?

More or less with variations.  The man could die in the chair the first chapter and spend the whole book discussing how he got there.

You would already know how it ended.  Hah.

Lit fic has a thousand variations but basically if it is seriously plot oriented, its probably not Lit Fic.
