Nathan, I just read chapter 20, I had somehow missed it before. I can't tell you how much it hurts my heart to read this..... and how sad I feel that you find the birth of our son, your first born son, "meaningless". You were there, that was a story in itself. He is the most wonderful blessing in my life, and has grown into an amazing man, with so many skills and talents. But you make no mention of him. I can take that I mean so little to you, but I can't take it that our son does too.
For the last 36 years, I have been there for you. I thought I was caring, but I guess I was just "smothering". I am sorry for that, it won't happen again.
To all of you, I apologize for posting this here for all to see. But.... he did write the book, and left out a major chapter.
I am proud of you Nathan, and your writing skills, and pleased you for this honor bestowed on you. I have enjoyed reading some of your work, but I feel like I just got hit with a sledgehammer, so I am going to "unregister", and give you back your place here, so you are free to be whoever you want to be, and unsmothered.
