Finding Sara is getting published.

I just got off the phone with the publisher - preliminary contracts are in the mail.

The rep who called me says it's an editing nightmare because the editors are too caught up in the story to nitpick. They want to meet, take photos (that's the only scary part), discuss cover art and a marketing strategy - gotta admit I'm over the moon. smile

A thousand thank yous to everyone who's helped me so far. And thank you to Sol for this site. This absolutely would not have happened without TNBW, at least not this soon.

Big congrats, Lucy!!

I've only read one work by you (a short piece.) I like your writing style very much.

Well-deserved, I'm sure. smile

Good for you.

But you cheated!  Did you tell your publisher about that?  Did you tell them how like three people on this site hate your guts?  Maybe two.  But definitely one.

Thank you, everyone!! I'm serious when I say it wouldn't have happened without this site.

Tirzah, I'm stunned. You brought tears to my eyes. I'd better hurry up and design a website.

HAHAHA  That was a great movie. wink

But it's a good place to be, isn't it - knowing someone believes in your work enough to publish it.  Nervous-making, unbelievable, but very, very exciting.

I'm just so happy for you.  wink

Re: Finding Sara is getting published.

Thank you, everyone!!

Wayne! I gotta be quick - I'm too old to be slow. smile Jeni, I saw that movie 8 times in the theater - it came out the year my mom died, and damn it, it made me laugh. It still makes me laugh.

I might just go watch it today. On the treadmill, of course.

Now where can I get me a quick face lift before those photos? Or a stand-in? And how long before this snow storm knocks out my Internet?

Terrific! And Congratulations smile

I hope to fully list your kudo in the Hall of Writing Rhinos. When you feel assured the timing is right, please post the name of your publisher here in the Success Stories thread, okay? Do you have a nom de plume?

Write well and prosper,
