NOW COUNTING COMPLETED NOVELS ON SITE. ADD YOURS HERE!
This is a new thread for completed novels.
We want to try and get an accurate count, so if you have a novel that is completely posted on site, please list the name of your novel and a brief synopsis, as well as a link to the first chapter.
Only original authors should list completed novels to keep from double-listing.
Also... please list the count number at the beginning of your post, and if you have more than one novel, give each its own individual post.
Let's see how many there actually are!

#1 (Not a rating...just the first one listed!!)
THIS TIME YOU LOSE is complete. (Suspense/Thriller)
THIS TIME YOU LOSE is the suspense driven story of one woman's struggle to survive when she and the twelve children she cares for become the victims of a home invasion gone terribly wrong.
Story Synopsis: Lisa Kaamp operates a small childcare business out of her home in the sleepy little town of Nogeksum, Michigan. Highly respected and known for going the extra mile for her daycare kids, Lisa thought she had handled every daycare emergency possible. But nothing prepared her for the nightmare she now faced.
She awakes one morning to find herself bound and gagged, four strange men in her home, and the daycare children being held hostage in the next room. Terrorized by her captors as the authorities work to meet the ransom deadline, she tries negotiating with the men for the release of the children, and soon realizes that at least one of them has no intention of letting anyone go. With the deadline quickly approaching, Lisa must do the unimaginable to protect the children and get everyone out alive.

#2 - The Coffee Diary
Just because I happened to be in that order... The Coffee Diary is now complete. I am still revising, but mostly minor stuff and am eager for new reviewers to catch what I haven't caught in the revisions.
The Coffee Diary is a story about the reality of life in Guatemala. It's literary fiction and the story is told through the eyes of Veronica, a young woman who has returned home from the U.S. to decide whether or not to sell her coffee farm to the corrupt mayor of Moyuta. She finds a diary from her teen in her abandoned family home, which helps her to relive her early years in Guatemala and make her decision. She is threatened and followed by the mayor and his thugs, who are involved in illegal drug trafficking, and through it all stands firm, like her father who had been murdered two years earlier by extorsionists.

#3 The Bitch Brigade of Bridgeton
When a shy, black, ballerina from a poor neighborhood is thrust into the affluent yet equally dangerous world of the prestigious Bridgeton academy, she is forced to overcome her insecurities in order to defeat the three most ruthless and vindictive girls in the school.
I have an agent for this book and I'm really close to a contract with a publisher so...fingers crossed.

#4 The Guardian of Eden
The Guardian of Eden is the story of a teenager, Garrett, and his twelve year old sister, Eden. After years of abuse from their mother and her boyfriends they finally achieve what seems like a happy life. Their mother has married a good man, Garrett has a beautiful girlfriend, and both he and his sister attend a prestigious private school. But tragedy lurks beneath the surface as Garrett discovers that the abuse to his little sister goes beyond what he ever imagined. His overwhelming love for his sister and desire to protect her lead him to commit a murder that could destroy them all.
My agent wants me to change the first few chapters so that Garrett's voice sounds older. I could use help with that.

#5 School Age
This is the story of a 25-year-old who is heartbreakingly dumped by her husband. She falls in love on a cruise and gains some self-respect then changes her path in life by becoming a school teacher. Little does she know, the man she fell in love with is one of her seventeen-year-old students.
This book could use a new title and sprucing up of the ending. I haven't submitted this to my agent yet.

#6 La Cienega Just Smiled
Reyna, a black Puerto Rican girl, and Scottie, a white star athlete, have been best friends since 6th grade. They don't realize they're in love with each other until Oct. 31 2008 when during a Friday night school play off football game, Reyna notices Scott is in pain. They profess their love for one another but after the results of the Nov. 4, 2008 election, their small private school gets thrown into racial turmoil. They're relationship becomes even more compicated when Scott is diagnosed with a muscular disease that ends his promising sports career and threatens to end his life. Together they help their school see what's really important in life.
My agent has read this and loved it, but he gave me a list of things that he wants me work on such as slowing down the pace near the end of the book.

#12 Sea of Stones
Sea of Stones is the quirky, but heart warming middle-grade tale, of a fourth grader who searches for love and acceptance, and finds them in some unlikely places. Callie hasn’t looked in a mirror for over three years, but she is able to see her own reflection in those around her. She’s unpopular with other children, and even her teacher, so she invents an imaginary friend to help her through her school days. When she is not in school, she spends time with a simple country woman, Wilma Lou, who teaches Callie respect for all living things. Mrs. Irwin, a substitute teacher, becomes a faithful ally who accepts her, despite her flaws. Callie has an unappreciated talent for scrambling words and an ongoing quest to find a perfectly round pebble on the playground, which she believes will bring her friendship. Her unstable home environment is shaken even further when her agoraphobic and morbidly obese mother requires surgery.

#13 Mascara Masquerade
A compelling drama of a young girl whose life is tragically and permanently altered by the father she doesn't know. Amy Dickson takes on the relentless quest to discover the identity of her father and make him pay for the torment and anguish he caused her for so long. Her journey carries her to the lowest depths of human suffering. But a firm determination to hold her father accountable provides all the strength she needs to carry on.
What she doesn't know is that her father, John R. "Jack" Brody, is the most powerful member of the U.S. Senate. To say the least, the ending is totally unexpected.

Static Mayhem
Two forces drive Harrison Cody to trek from New England to Chicago on foot: a bewildering pixie named Glimmer, and Claudia, the voice on the radio who may be the only other human still alive. Static Mayhem, a mainstream novel that weaves elements of Fairy Tale, Science Fiction and Horror into a contemporary setting, tells his story. Harrison's journey reveals a North America whose human population has been replaced by dinosaurs, demons and dragons, and whose infrastructure has been reduced to a smattering of buildings holding artifacts from Earth's past and future. For all the surreal obstacles of his environment, his greatest challenge proves to be the care of two young survivors, separately orphaned and in clear need of a parent. Their eventual arrival in Chicago is punctuated by his arrest, and after clearing himself and establishing a life in this new cradle of civilization, he finds that his unanswered questions pale in importance to his new family.
(This is just a synopsis of the first part. I consider it two books now, but the version posted here is an omnibus of both.)

Impetuous Heart
Irish village life during World War I features Nora, a lively sixteen year old whose secret love has gone to France to fight in the trenches while she continues on as usual in the village. A visit to her cousin reveals a secret cave filled with spirits prophesying dire futures for the Kennedy tribe and a trip home in a Rolls Royce driven by a cattleman. Paranormal events as well as civil unrest in the village continue until Tim returns home, burned and wounded; Nora has taken down the Union Jack that flies over the village and replaced it with the Irish flag. The village priest intervenes in Nora's life, suggests a trip to Boston for Nora so she can care for his sister who is suffering from infantile paralysis. It's an offer she can't refuse.
My novel will be published this fall by Levellers Press of Amherst, Mass. It's their first non-local publication. They do a beautiful job of printing with excellent quality materials. They get a lot of local support from this academic community. I'm writing a sequel now, with a few characters from Ulysses, a bit older. Milly Bloom, a photographer of poverty stricken Dublin is one of them. (April 2012)

#19 Dissolution
Sherryn Allbright is the envy of her peers. She has everything - an attentive husband, healthy children, and a thriving business. But life changes when a woman leaves a child on her doorstep, claiming her husband is the father. Denial is useless, for the boy resembles Reece too closely not to be his.
Though shattered by his betrayal, Sherryn cares for the unwanted youngster, who takes over her heart a little at a time. She goes through a season of upheaval, which culminates in violence against Reece, whom she forces to leave their home. Reece faces a murder accusation, one more thing to make Sherryn decide against continuing their marriage. On her enforced voyage of self-discovery, she comes to terms with her inadequacies. Only then does she deal with the underlying problems in their eighteen-year relationship.

Danger and excitement sweep into Camille Moyston's boring life in the person of Quinn Mayhew, who rescues her from a rapist and one year later, saunters into the law firm where she works as a paralegal. She does not recognize him but takes an immediate dislike to him as he personifies the clichéd, oversexed Jamaican male. She knows the type well. Her father was one.
To her dismay, this charismatic man has a hypnotic effect on her, making it hard to keep her distance. Camille, the problem solver in the complicated lives of her zany girlfriends, finds herself embroiled in blackmail, kidnapping and murder, with Quinn at center stage.
As they join forces to fight a murder accusation, both Quinn and Camille wonder whether two people as unalike as chalk and cheese can suspend their prejudices long enough to solve the crime and maybe find love in the process.

#21 - RUDIE CAN'T FAIL
Dumped by his girlfriend and forgotten by his father, slacker Rudie Chikauski spins into a summer odyssey on the island of Nantucket where run-ins with freaky locals and a love affair with an older woman teach him to become the man he’s never had the courage to be - himself.
Rudie outsmarts a misguided carpenter and a salty Public Works supervisor to earn the painting contract at the island rest home. He also earns the love of Jule, the Home’s laundress, who has her own challenges to face including a distant husband, a fortieth birthday, and an illness she can’t fight alone.
With the help of three friends and the Home’s resident elders, Rudie matures with the summer coming face-to-face with rival painters, proud nudists, raging bonfires, serious crunchers (big waves), and potential death by crucifix. At summer’s end, he makes a decision that will complete his transformation and point the way to new beginnings.
Revised as it is reviewed. New eyes on this are always welcome.

"911 Dispatch, What is your Emergency"
This my first novel and it is just the messy first draft still. I started writing humorus novels on a lark and did not intend to write a book but here we are.
This is a sarcastic, somewhat dark humorus and satirical look at the Emergency Services Industry from someone who have been in the business on a ambulance, in the Emergency Room, in Dispatch, Intensive Care Unit in the hospital and Firefighting. I have taken everything good about the industry out and highlighted everything you don't want to know about it. You could say this is the Bevis and Butthead of the Emergency Services.
I don't know how to post a link but I would appreciate new reviews as I am gearing up for a second draft on this.
Thank you Chris for a great idea!

24 A Gyspy Among Gypsies
Gypsy is an adventure-quest that spans four decades, including my twelve-year road trip that took me to California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, and the Caribbean Islands. Along with spiritual and supernatural overtones, the memoir celebrates the contention that even when the odds are stacked against it, life not only endures, it prevails.
