It should be just "The Adventure Tournament." The parentheses were obviously just to differentiate it from the draft posted previously. It's not part of the title. Thanks.
Congrats to all finalists. There are some titles I'm glad to see in there.

This is what I said last year and it's still just as relevant: If you are not on one of the finalist lists, don't despair. Many writers have not made it to the finals in this competition but have gone on to have their books published and achieve success. As we like to say, the main goal of the competition is to inspire writers to perfect their opening chapters. If your book is better now than it was at the beginning of the competition, then we have succeeded in our goal.
The winners will be announced on July 30, 2011. Good luck to all!
Just wanted to bring this front and center again so I can see all of my favorites on the list when I check out the congrats each day. So excited for all of you!
Susan

I had the pleasure of reading the first 3 chapters of Orchard School for Dead Boys and Girls and was confident it would be picked among the finalists. I also read Baad and thought it would win. I don't know how I missed Sacrilege; it sounds from the summary like my kind of story. Everything I've read by Q.X.T. is beautiful.

Congratulations to the finalists and all who entered! Many of the bestselling authors out there don't have the talent that can be found on this site.
