looking to exchange whole book
I've just finished my second draft and I know it's still "gap-py" but I'd really love to do a swap with someone at a similar stage for a whole read through.
Mine is literary fiction, runs to 53,000 words and is told from 3 characters points of view. I suspect the time frame may still be difficult to read but I need a reader to look at it.
I'm happy to read anything in exchange but my favourites are literary fiction and chic lit, i'm also happy to read non fiction.
Hope someone out there's willing!
Cheers,
Chris

Re: looking to exchange whole book
Hi Chris,
I'd be willing to do a book exchange, but my book is YA (although it has a lot of dark humor and could be considered a cross-over). If you're not interested in that genre, that's OK. The novel is 50,000 words and is told from first person point of view (19-year-old female that is an Army medical technician). It's called "The Morgue Drinking Club" and it's been through a few drafts, but still needs work! I enjoy reading all genres. Cheers, S.E.

I will read your book too. You don't have to do an exchange.
What is your book called?

Oh, how wonderful - thank you, I will take you both up on your kind offer. I'll email you seperately so we can exchange manuscripts. My novel has the working title "Broken Beauty".
Kind regards, Chris

Hi Chris,
Where is your book? I did a search by your title and nothing came up (I checked the system by entering my novel's title, and the system found it). Thanks, S.E.

Hey S.E.
I saw your post seeking someone to do a whole book review. My work in progress could be considered Y.A. and I saw that yours was a bit "dark". If interested, check out my first chapter and get back to me.

Re: looking to exchange whole book
Hi Erik,
I just read your first chapter and posted a review. I enjoyed reading it and would be interested in reading more. You're welcome to read mine, but don't feel obligated to. One thing that impressed me was the quick pacing of your novel, since a few reviewers have commented that the pacing of mine is too slow, especially for a YA audience. I realize that, but I'm stuck on ways to speed it up, other than cutting stuff out (and I've already cut a lot). So any advice you could give me would be very helpful. Thanks! Best Regards, S.E.
